The French bulldog, like the vast majority of dogs, needs a balanced diet. This diet must be taken care of through the feed and, therefore, there are numerous types and brands of specific feed for the breed. Bulldogs in general are a breed that tends to get fat on the one hand due to their physical shape and on the other because they are not exactly very athletic dogs. Depending on the age, the French bulldog will need a specific amount of food, it is appropriate to divide it at least twice a day, to facilitate their digestion, since they have a lot of gases. It is very important to take care of their weight, between 12 and 15 kilos since if they gain weight they can have serious health problems. 

On the other hand, they are dogs with a sensitive stomach, so you should also avoid giving them food that is not their own, that is, do not give them human food, much less the remains of your food. Also avoid eating things on the street, as they tend to vomit when something goes wrong with their stomach. Despite a little low-fat turkey or a piece of watermelon, (they love this!) From time to time nothing happens as long as it is allowed food for dogs and not dangerous food for them.

You can give him moderate rewards to educate him but without exceeding the indicated amount. Some bulldogs need a specific diet not only to take care of their weight, but because of allergies, the vet will tell you which one is indicated for yours. If you decide to change your feed, we recommend that you do it little by little, that is, mixing the new one with the old one, since sometimes it does not sit well with their delicate stomachs.
